About the Owner
My name is Kat Fitzsimmons, the owner of Pampered Petz.
I have a Master’s degree in Business from Drexel University, but after working in the corporate world for many years, I found myself yearning for something more. So, I decided to follow my true passion, working with animals! I have always felt such a strong connection to animals for as long as I can remember.
In 2009, I opened Pampered Petz to make my dream a reality. We pride ourselves on the long-term relationships we form with our clients giving them peace of mind that their furry family members are receiving the best care possible. My husband, Hans, and I live in Gilbertsville with two sons, cats Teddy and Chloe, and our dog, Bella. Hans left his job in 2011 to work for Pampered Petz full-time and has never looked back. He has experience with a variety of animals from cats and dogs to ferrets and loves being able to be outside everyday.
Meet our Team Members
JoyHello there! My name is Joy. Besides being a dedicated pet lover, I am also a dance teacher. I’ve been serving the community teaching dance for over 20 years. The only thing that I love more than dance is my furry family which includes my two one-eyed shitzus, one from a local pet store and the other a rescue from the SPCA, our cat and a beautiful bearded dragon. While we don’t have the space for additional pets, Pampered Petz allows me the opportunity to make so many new fun, furry friends. It has been a blessing getting to meet and connect with other local pet care owners.
Hi! My name’s Beth. I live in Limerick with my husband, two kids, and very spoiled dog. I’ve loved animals all my life!! I’ve had dogs and cats since I was a small child, and have always had a passion for caring for animals. I think the love of an animal is something very special. I’m thrilled to have an opportunity to share my love of animals with your pets!!
RobinHello, my name Robin and I live in Limerick with my husband and son. We currently have two rescues, an American bulldog and a Pitbull. Rescue has been a part of my life since our family’s first rescue dog when I was a little girl. I can not resist any animal in need and have made many trips to local wildlife rescues with all kinds of critters. When my son was born, I was blessed to be able to stay home with him and our pets. But before then, I had used the service of a pet sitter and remember how it felt to leave them in the hands of someone who was not me. So, now I am thrilled to be able to love on your pets while you are away from home. I am not you but I hope to be a bright spot in their day!
KristenMy name is Kristen and I live in Lower Pottsgrove. I have had dogs my entire life and truly believe that a house is not a home without a pet. I have helped to run an all volunteer non-profit dog rescue for about 14 years and absolutely love it. I look forward to meeting and taking care of your furry, feathered or scaled family members.
ValHello! My name is Val. I am a proud momma of a Havenese, named Pippi(Named after Ms. Longstocking). She earned her name, when we discovered each other on busy Broad St. in Philadelphia. She seemed to have no care in the world and was enjoying herself weaving between cars in the middle of the road. Lucky for her, she had two compassionate strangers worried about her safety. I was able to coerce her to me and that’s where our beautiful bond began. It has been a grande adventure thus far.
I am a former vet tech of 28 years. It all started as a summer job that blossomed into a long and rewarding career. I created so many friendships with both humans and pets. I developed an understanding of the medical side of animals, but also the understanding of their behavior and emotions. I am a huge advocate of rescues for animals. I am a cat gal as well. I had my ‘brat pack’, my three boys, all of whom lived long and healthy lives. I love being part of the Pampered Petz team as it allows me to fill the void left after leaving the veterinary field. I look forward to caring for your furry family members. It is an honor and privilege to care for them!
Hi, I’m Irene aka the Crazy Dog Lady. I live in Limerick with nine dogs; eight rescues and my fifteen year old English Bulldog. I am retired after forty years in the Criminal Justice System. Over the years, I have been involved in rescue and anything relating to animals. I have been an anti- puppy mill demonstrator and an advocate for spay and neuter programs. I had a paralyzed Labrador, that after passing the Delta Society test for pet therapy, went on weekly visits at the local V.A. hospital with him in his wheel chair. I have actively participated in numerous pet related courses, including pet first aid and pet rescue. A lot of my rescues were special needs animals, both cats and dogs. I am well equipped to handle blind, deaf, diabetic, paralyzed and epileptic animals. Currently, I volunteer at Ryerss Farm which houses approximately eighty five senior and neglected horses, a mule and a couple of pigs. Of course, I am still involved in rescue. Animals are not just my life, they are my bliss. Caring for your animal or animals is not a job to me, it is a privilege.
Hi! My name is Nicole. I live in Spring City, PA with my husband/kids and 2 fur-babies, Graham and Sallie, who are both rescues. I have had animals my whole life. Before my 2 pups now, I had Sammy (dog) and Jax (cat), both lived 17 years before crossing the rainbow bridge. I have also previously fostered many rescue dogs until they found their furever home. I love all animals and after using Pampered Petz myself, I thought what better job than to give comfort to people like me that their pets are in loving hands when they are unable to be home.
DebHi, my name is Deb. I live in Stowe with my husband and two dogs. I have a son who is 20 and in his 2nd year of college. I’ve been working in the corporate world for 30+ years. My dream has been to work with dogs, cats and other furry friends. I alway wished I would have followed my dream of being a veterinarian. Now, I’ve been given this opportunity to go to work (if you want to call it that) with a smile on my face! : ) I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family and give them all the love, attention and care when you can’t be there to do it.
BettyHello! My name is Betty and I live in Upper Pottsgrove with my husband and our two fur babies, Maggie (rescued mini dachshund) and Mya (rescued stray kitty). Growing up, I’ve cared for many different breeds of dogs, cats, guinea pigs, ferrets, hedgehogs, iguanas, and more. You name it, I probably had it! I believe there is nothing better than the unconditional love and companionship you get from a pet. I very much look forward to caring for your pets and treating them like my own!
KimHello! My name is Kim and I live in Phoenixville. Like every staff member of Pampered Petz, I absolutely adore all animals! Throughout my life, my pets weren’t just pets, they were and are the animals that brought me joy, comfort and respect for all living creatures. Most importantly, I learned the responsibility and dedication it takes to properly care for and nuture an animal’s physical and emotional needs. I love to nurture animals, and they nurture me! I never had the chance to have children, so animals played a big part in my life. Presently, I live with an ornery but well loved cat that I rescued. She (Tilly) was extremely timid and scared of all human contact. Today, she can usually be found on my lap or cuddling with me on the couch. Besides my cat, I have had hamsters, a guinea pig, a rabbit and have raised two wonderful dogs who have sadly passed after a full life of love and adoration. Furthermore, I am passionate about horses and have ridden and cared for any horse I could. Today I continue that passion for horses and all animals in general. I am very excited to meet all of my clients and care for, play with and provide love for your fur babies as if they were my own. I thank you for this opportunity to share in the joy that your pet gives to you and everyone they encounter in their life.
